The Newseum by Polshek Partners has been on my “to-do” list for a while. Fortunately we got groupons to help the high-ish cost of admission ($20 per ticket) and we finally got to use those groupons today. The Neweum is overwhelming. There is stuff to see in every corner of the building, and the space itself has a lot of bells and whistles. The exhibits were very well designed, and very interesting and engaging. A sobering experience in many ways.

New York storm

We took a little trip to New York around new years, and just happened to catch the remnants of the big storm after christmas. Event just spending one day there was awesome, we stayed at the hudson hotel near columbus circle and got to experience some of phillipe stark’s dramatic space design. Right around the corner was the addition to the Lincoln center by studio renfroe – Alice Tully Hall.

It’s been a while since i took some photos, so i thought i’d take some of our little christmas tree. Most specifically I’m excited about our ornament of the year – the White House Ornament of 2010! Since we just moved here and this time around it’s Obama’s house, the ornament has a special place in our house!

The lovely folks over at tutta lou http://www.tuttalou.com/ sent me these awesome business cards this week! I did the design with their help, and it was much better than just uploading a design to a website, since I got feedback and lots opportunity to review and collaborate with the actual printer. What do you think?
