At the Slope Room in Vail our couple hosted an intimate rehearsal dinner. For a foodie couple, the rehearsal dinner becomes a delightful and delectable affair, a culinary journey in itself. The cozy rehearsal dinner for such a couple is an intimate gathering where the spotlight is on the art of gastronomy. Held at an intimate, candlelit bistro or a charming farm-to-table restaurant, it’s an evening filled with exquisitely crafted dishes that are a testament to their love for the culinary arts. The couple, along with their close friends and family, savor a carefully curated menu that showcases a fusion of flavors, from exotic appetizers to indulgent main courses and decadent desserts. As the wine flows and the conversation flows, the evening takes on an atmosphere of warmth and connection, celebrating not only the impending nuptials but also the couple’s shared love for the pleasures of the palate. Aspen Colorado Indian Weddings are a great idea, and this event at the Little Nell Hotel shows how great it can be! You may recognize this couple from their fall engagement session, and their wedding is definitely not going to disappoint! All of the events for the wedding weekend centered around the Little Nell Hotel, which is widely known for its hospitality.

The weekend starts with a welcome party on Friday with very nightclub vibes curated by the Aspen DJ. Wedding guests start arriving that first night and were greeted with welcome bags to help them have a great time over the weekend. By the time the night is over, friends and family mingled and eventually there was dancing!

For the second day of this Aspen, Colorado Indian wedding the couple decided to host a brunch. The wardrobe theme for this event is “Mountain style meets the Derby” and the clothing is as varied and colorful as to be expected. The couple looks especially great in their creative interpretation of the theme.

The Wedding Day

Finally we arrived at the wedding day. With a beautiful suite we spent some time with the bride’s family as they got ready for the big day. Altogether it was a calm morning, which is always a treat. Usually the first look is an important moment for the big day and the logistics of taking a gondola up to the top of the mountain is a fun break in the day. The view at the top is always breathtaking as soon as you step off the Gondola.

The ceremony with this beautiful backdrop is sublime. Every moment of the scenery is unreal at the wedding deck. Guests are filled with overwhelm with the beauty of Colorado at this wedding location. How can it get better? Only with the incredible food and drinks cooked on the spot by the amazing chefs of the Little Nell. Ultimately, I hope to do many more Aspen Colorado Indian weddings.

Overall It’s a fun way for guests from all over the world to spend a weekend in Aspen. Ultimately I’m putting vibes out in the universe to be able to photograph many more Indian or South Asian weddings in Aspen. They are truly unicorns. I’m looking forward to this mix of culture and environment at many more future events. Kudos to the whole wedding planning and vendor team, as listed below, for such an amazing event.

It is no secret that I love architecture! I am an architect myself and met my husband while working in the field. So it should come as no surprise that this Washington DC wedding at the United States Institute of Peace made this photographer/architect so unbelievably happy!

Katie and Jessie are some of the nicest people you will ever meet (seriously!) and that would have been more than enough to make me thrilled to capture their wedding. But they also truly appreciated the space they were getting married and that made it extra special. The couple with the help of Anne Kelley Events, designed a wedding that perfectly complimented the architecture of the United States Institute of Peace.

For instance, Katie even describes finding her dress in terms of the architecture of the venue. “As soon as I saw it, I knew that Jesse would love it, and from an architectural perspective, that it would be impossible to find something that better fit the clean lines of USIP.” See what I mean? In short, the architect in me was jumping for joy at every turn of this wedding.

Institute of Peace Wedding

Firstly, after a sweet and very nerve filled first look on the staircase at USIP, Katie and Jessie held a traditional Jewish ceremony in the International Women’s Commons. Modern white chairs and a curved aisle accented the breathtaking windows that created a backdrop for the ceremony.

After that, cocktail hour took place under a string quartet resulting in some of our favorite images of the day. Then, dinner and dancing followed in the USIP Great Hall. The all white dinner tables with ghost chairs were topped with colorful arrangements and greenery adding a pop to the modern space. Finally, the couple danced and celebrated the night away with their guests.

When their original wedding plans were derailed by 2020, Kelly and John chose an intimate country club Covid wedding! We are thrilled to get to be their covid wedding photographers and capture the celebration! Both Kelly and John are avid golfers so they are also taking this chance to be the first couple to get married on the actual green of Congressional Country Club golf course in the club’s history!

The couple lives in North Carolina so this wedding is a destination wedding for them. Kelly and John are also looking forward to celebrating again next year and we will be there to capture the second celebration with their whole gang!

The informal nature of an intimate wedding is part of the charm! It’s great to be able to redo the walk down the aisle if the guests forgot to blow bubbles!

The COVID Wedding Details

Kelly and John’s wedding is the first country club Covid wedding or micro wedding we photographed in 2020 and we absolutely love it. Altogether 11 guests attended the wedding including the couple, immediate families, the bridal party and significant others. After the mother of the bride called us to tell us that that they would be doing a micro wedding we worked with the family to ensure we had the right amount of coverage at the right time of day to capture the smaller celebration.

Even though they are small, it is really fun to be involved in such an intimate event! We are honored to be the 12th and 13th persons attending the wedding. The smaller celebration let’s us have lots of great one on one time with the most important people in Kelly and John’s life.

While the micro COVID wedding is a wonderful celebration given the restrictions to large gatherings. And it’s also a unique start to this sweet couple’s married life. However, we can’t wait for the big party, including the dance floor, next year. As for the country club Covid wedding trend, not sure we need a whole lot more of these.

An Eastern Shore wedding was an obvious choice for Jackie and Ari’s wedding celebration. Since Jackie has been visiting Maryland with her family for years the shore is full of happy memories. Fast forward past a Bumble swipe and a waterfront proposal in NYC, it was time for Jackie and Ari to pick a wedding venue. Considering the couple knew they wanted a spot where their guests could all be together, relax, and enjoy a weekend away. Enter The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay, Golf, Resort, Spa and Marina.

Ultimately this gorgeous property gave the couple everything they wanted in a wedding weekend. Taking into account it’s a quick escape for their friends and family. Also, the place included a waterfront ceremony and a gorgeous ballroom. No rain plan worries here! After a waterfront ceremony under a modern wooden chuppah the celebration moved indoors for dinner and dancing. Jackie and Ari worked with wedding planner Leslie of Elizabeth Bailey Weddings. And for florist Jeff of Blue Vanda Designs. Both teams worked to bring the outdoors in to the Hyatt’s ballroom.

The Details

All things considered, Jackie envisioned a “California chic vibe”. With decor that was “natural, lush, organic, effortless, and feminine.” The way Leslie and Jeff achieved this look is with a mix of different sized tables and centerpieces. Additionally, including a tree centerpiece made of privet and Camilla leaf branches growing out of the table. Additionally, the head table has a runner of greenery, rocks, succulents, moss, and terrariums. Also, place cards were names calligraphed on magnolia leaves.

Ultimately the celebration was the perfect day. As the ceremony was outdoors and the reception was in the ballroom. Despite rain earlier in the day. After all, this is the biggest fear one has when planning an Eastern Shore wedding.

Finally, the celebration was rounded out with a few quintessential Eastern shore wedding details. Nothing says Maryland more than a crab cake entree and Smith Island Cake wedding cake. The state cake of Maryland. Top it all off with a little confetti!
